The Shield Bearing Warrior is located near the upstream entrance to Glen Canyon in Utah. Fluctuations in the water levels of Lake Powell have re-exposed this panel, but at full-pool it was more than 200 feet under water. This Ancestral Puebloan Petroglyph is one of a row of several 'Shield-Figures' - large, fierce warriors proudly displaying their decorated battle shields, clearly meant to intimidate their enemies.
