At first glance this impressive figure with exaggerated claws seems to represent the strength and power of the grizzly bear. However, researchers have also theorized that this Petroglyph may also represent a Ute shaman wearing a bear skin. Ute bear shamans were reported to wear bear skins in battle. Located in Western Colorado along a known Ute travel route.
