The Great Western Railway (GW) was a standard gauge railroad which provided freight and passenger service in north-central Colorado. The GW's primary revenue source came from hauling sugar beets from the many area farms to local sugar factories. Sugar beets were a valuable commodity which provided the GW with a steady income into the 1980's, well past the end of steam operations. Founded in 1901, the GW line began in Loveland, with the North Branch going to Windsor and Eaton. The South Branch went down through Johnstown to Longmont.
Our sticker was inspired by the hand-drawn lettering on the 1906 Great Western Railway annual pass.
